Fried Taro Patties with Sweet Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 600 gram taro

  • 1/4 piece preserved pork

  • 1 tbsp dried shrimps

  • 2 sprigs spring onion (diced)

  • 6 tbsps Tang flour

  • 1/2 cup boiling water

  • 1 small dish sweet sauce

Method

 

1. Peel taro. Rinse and cut into thin slices. Steam until done. Crush into mashed taro and set aside.

2. Cut off skin from preserved pork. Steam for 5 minutes and dice. Rinse and finely chop dried shrimps.

3. Heat a little oil in wok. Stir fry preserved pork, dried shrimps and spring onion until fragrant.

4. Sieve Tang flour. Add 1/2 cup of boiling water and mix well. Knead into dough.

5. Add mashed taro and preserved pork mixture into the flour dough. knead to mix well. Divide into small

   pieces and press flat to become the taro patty.

6. Coat the patty with a little corn flour. Fry until slightly golden. Serve with the sweet sauce as a dip.
