Fried Lettuce Recipe

cooking time: 2 minutes

 

Ingredients

  • 1 lettuce

  • 15 grams lard (or oil)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 clove crushed garlic

Method

 

1. Wash the lettuce thoroughly and break by hand into pieces 2 inches square.

2. Heat oil and quick fry lettuce until leaves turn soft.

3. Season with salt and crushed garlic and serve.


Variation
Fried Watercress
As above, allowing 227 grams watercress in place of lettuce.
