Fried Bean Sprouts with Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450 grams bean sprouts

  • 1 tablespoon lard (or oil)

  • salt

  • stock to cover

  • 227 grams tomatoes, skinned

  • 1 teaspoon corn flour

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • pepper

  • spring onions

Method

 

1. Wash and drain bean sprouts as in recipe for Braised bean sprouts (1).
2. Heat oil in pan, add salt to taste.
3. Quick fry the bean sprouts for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
4. Add stock and simmer for 2 minutes.
5. Add tomatoes and cook for 1 minute.
6. Pour in corn flour diluted with water.
7. Add sesame oil, pepper to taste, and the spring onions cut into pieces 1
1/2 inches long.
8. Cook for 1 minute and serve.
