Cabbage in Milk Recipe

cooking time: 10 minutes

 

Ingredients

  • 450 cabbage

  • boiling water

  • lard

  • 280 ml veal ( or chicken stock)

  • 1 teaspoon corn flour

  • 140 ml milk

  • salt and pepper

  • 30 grams finely shredded ham

Method

 

1. Wash the cabbage, break into pieces 2-inches square, dip into boiling water for 2 minutes and drain.

2. Heat lard and quick fry the cabbage for 2 minutes.

3. Add stock, and corn flour diluted with milk to make a thin paste.

4. Simmer for 5 minutes.

5. Season with salt and pepper and serve garnished with shredded ham.
