Braised Broad Beans Recipe

cooking time : 15 minutes


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 450 grams broad beans, shelled

  • water

  • 1 tablespoon spring onions, chopped

Method

 

1. Heat the oil, add salt and quick fry the beans for 1 minute.
2. Add enough water to cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes.
3. Sprinkle with spring onions and serve.


Variation

Braised peas


As above, substituting peas for broad beans, and reducing the cooking time to 5 minutes.
