Blanched Watercress with Fermented Bean Curd Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 600 gram watercress

  • 3 small cubes premium fermented bean curd

  • 1/2 tbsp grated garlic

  • red chili shreds

  • 1/2 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp corn flour

  • 2 tbsps water

Method

 

1. Rinse watercress and soak in dilute salty water for 1 hour. Rinse, Blanch in boiling water until done and

   transfer to the plate.

2. Mash fermented bean curd. Add sugar and 4 tbsps of boiled water. Mix well.

3. Heat 2 tbsps of oil in wok. Stir fry grated garlic until fragrant. Pour in the fermented bean curd sauce.

   Bring to the boil. Add red chili shreds and the sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens and pour over the

   watercress. Serve.
