Shrimp and Cabbage Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 230 grams fresh shrimps

  • 2 egg whites, beaten stiff

  • 2 slices ginger, pounded

  • 230 grams cabbage, shredded

  • 110 grams celery, shredded

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1.2 litter boiling water

  • 2 tablespoons corn flour

  • 3 tablespoons cold water

  • 1-2 spring onions, chopped

Method 

 

1. Shell, rinse and drain shrimps.
2. Chop finely and mix with egg whites and ginger.
3. Cook cabbage and celery in salted water for 8 minutes.
4. Mix corn flour with water, and blend into cooked vegetables.
5. Bring to the boil, cook for 2 minutes, stirring. all the time.
6. Add shrimps, bring to boil, simmer for 5 minutes, add spring onions and serve.
