Minced Pork Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 227 grams rice

  • 3.4 litter water

  • 1 knob dried salt cabbage (Hahm Choy)

  • 450 grams pork

  • salt

  • 1 tablespoon light soy

  • 1 tablespoon brandy

  • 1 teaspoon oil

  • 1 tablespoon spring onions, finely chopped

Method

 

1. Wash rice and boil in water.
2. Simmer until rice softens, absorbs the water and makes a thick soup (about 40 minutes).
3. Blanch the, salt cabbage.
4. Mince pork and cabbage together and season with salt.
5. Blend in soy sauce, brandy and oil, and mix well.
6. Roll the meat into small balls and add to soup.
7. Bring to boil, poach for a few minutes, sprinkle with spring onions and serve
