Boiled Rice with Chicken and Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450 grams rice

  • 1 dessertspoon oil

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 170 grams raw chicken, shredded

  • 113 grams, peeled and quartered

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • salt and pepper

  • 1 tablespoon spring onions, chopped

 

Method

 

1. Start boiling the rice in the ordinary way.
2. Heat oil with garlic and quickly toss in the chicken and the tomatoes.
3. Add sugar, and salt and pepper to taste, and simmer until chicken is cooked and tomatoes

    reduced to pulp.
4. Pile this mixture on top of the rice when the latter has absorbed almost all the water.
5. Sprinkle with spring onions, cover, simmer for 15 minutes and serve.
