Method
1. Cut the meat into uniform pieces and
sprinkle with salt.
2. Mix this with half soy sauce and brandy.
3. Heat oil in pan and brown the meat lightly.
4. Add remainder of soy sauce and brandy mixed with water.
5. Add Chinese aniseed.
6. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 2
1/2
hours.
7. Before serving, thicken with corn flour diluted with 2 tablespoons
water.
