Ribs of Beef with Black Beans Recipe

Ingredients

  • 680 grams ribs of beef

  • salt

  • tablespoon black Soya beans (Dow See)

  • 1 dessertspoon soy sauce

  • 1 dessertspoon brandy

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1 dessertspoon oil

  • 280 ml water
     

 Method

1. Cut the ribs into largish pieces, say 2-inch by 1-inch.
2. Sprinkle with salt.
3. Wash the beans, place them in a bowl, add soy sauce, brandy and 1 clove garlic.
4. Mix, crushing with a fork.
5. Heat oil with remaining clove garlic in a pan and brown the ribs.
6. Add black beans and rest of ingredients, stirring briskly for 2 minutes.
7. Add water, boil fast for 5 minutes, then simmer for 30 minutes and serve.
