Pork with Fresh Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450 grams shoulder of pork

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 280 ml  boiling water

  • 227 grams  fresh mushrooms, sliced

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon corn flour

  • 3 tablespoons cold water
     

Method

 

1. Cut the pork into very thin slices 1 1/2 inch square.
2. Heat the oil and brown the pork briskly.
3. Add soy sauce and boiling water, stir well.
4. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
5. Add mushrooms, stir, cook for 3 minutes. Season with salt.
6. Blend corn flour with water and stir into the pan.
7. Simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens (2-3 minutes, usually) and serve.
