Lamb and Chinese Vermicelli Recipe

cooking time: 20 minutes

 

Ingredients

  • 227 grams lamb

  • 1 teaspoon corn flour

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 113 grams Chinese vermicelli

  • 2 tomatoes

  • oil

  • 1 dessertspoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon brandy

  • 4 spring onions, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
     

Method

 

1. Cut meat into strips and mix with corn flour diluted with water.
2. Soak vermicelli in hot water for 5 minutes.
3. Peel and slice tomatoes.
4. Fry lamb quickly in hot oil for 5 minutes.
5. Add drained vermicelli and cook together.
6. Add soy sauce, brandy, spring onions, ginger and tomatoes and cook briskly for 5 minutes.
7. Add 1.14 litter water, simmer for 5 minutes and serve.


Variation
Lamb with turnips

As in previous recipe, replacing vermicelli by 227 grams. Chinese turnips shredded and reducing the amount of water added to the pan to 280 ml.
