Lamb with Bean Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons oil

  • 1/2 clove garlic, crushed

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon ginger root, crushed

  • 450 grams lean lamb, cut in thin slices

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  • 113 grams bean sprouts

  • 3 tablespoons corn flour

  • 2 tablespoons cold water

  • 3 spring onions, cut in 1 1/4-inch pieces
     

Method

 

1. Heat the oil with garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce and ginger.
2. Saute the lamb in this mixture for 5 minutes.
3. Cover and cook for 1 minute. Sprinkle in sugar.
4. Add bean sprouts, bring up the heat, mix and cook together for 3 minutes.
5. Blend corn flour with water, pour into the pan and simmer until the sauce thickens.
6. Sprinkle with spring onions and serve.
