K'ao Yang Jou (Barbecued Lamb,Peking Style) Recipe

cooking time:  10 minutes

 

Ingredients

  • 450 grams lean lamb

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt
     

Method

 

1. Cut the lamb into small thin slices.
2. Combine soy sauce, garlic, sugar and salt in a bowl. Add lamb and stir well to coat all slices with

    dressing. Leave to macerate for 15 minutes.
3. Just before serving, take slices of lamb out of the dressing, grill for 4-5 minutes on each side, using a

    charcoal burner if possible, and serve.
