Chicken with Walnuts Recipe

Ingredients

  • 113 grams fresh mushrooms

  • 227 grams chicken, diced

  • 1 dessertspoon soy sauce

  • 1 dessertspoon brandy

  • 1 teaspoon corn flour

  • salt

  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 1 dessertspoon oyster sauce

  • 57 grams celery, diced

  • 113 grams walnuts, shelled and skinned

  • 140 ml water

  • spring onions, chopped (optional)

 

Method

 

1. Cut mushrooms into 1/4 inch strips.

2. Combine chicken with soy sauce, brandy, corn flour and salt to taste.

3. Heat oil in pan and brown garlic in it.

4. Remove garlic and saute chicken briskly without allowing it to brown (2 minutes).

5. Add oyster sauce, mushrooms and celery. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

6. Add walnuts and water. Simmer for 2 minutes, and serve.
