Chicken A L'orange Recipe

 

cooking time: 45 minutes

 

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, cut-up

  • peanut oil

  • 1c. orange juice

  • 2 tbsp slivered orange rind

  • 1/4 tbsp ginger

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • salt

  • pepper

  • paprika

 

Method

 

1. Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper and paprika.

2. In large saucepan melt butter, brown chicken and remove from pan.

3. Stir orange juice, rind, ginger, nutmeg into pan juices, loosening brown particles.

4. Replace chicken and simmer uncovered about 45 minutes.
