Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 dessertspoon peanut

  • oil

  • 2 tablespoon water

  • 2 tablespoon vinegar

  • 1 dessertspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 small can pineapple cubes, shredded

  • 1 dessertspoon corn flour

  • 2 tablespoons cold water

 

Method

 

1. Heat the peanut oil.

2. Add water, vinegar, sugar and salt

3. Bring to the boil, add pineapple and corn flour diluted with water.

4. Remove from heat.

 

Variations

Sweet and Sour Oysters with Pineapple

As above, substituting oysters for scallops.

 

Sweet and Sour Lobster with Pineapple

As above, substituting 450 grams lobster meat, cut in large dice, for the oysters.
