Shrimps and Green Peas

cooking time: 5-6 minutes

 

Ingredients

  • 450 grams shrimps, (prawns) peeled

  • 1 tablespoon oil (peanut if possible)

  • 1 small packet frozen peas

  • 30 grams ginger, finely chopped

  • 30 grams spring onions, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 2 teaspoons corn flour

  • 3 tablespoons water

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  • pinch Ve-Tsin

  • few drops sesame oil
     

Method

 

1. Lightly fry the shrimps in oil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
2. Boil the peas in salted water for 3 minutes and drain.
3. Combine shrimps, peas, ginger, onion and garlic in a frying pan. Stir well.
4. Dilute corn flour with 3 tablespoons cold water, mixed with salt, soy sauce and Ve-Tsin, and pour the

    mixture over the contents of the frying pan. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce 

    thickens.
5. Sprinkle with sesame oil and serve.
