Shrimps (Prawns) Cutlets Recipe

Ingredients

  • 450 grams uncooked Dublin Bay prawns

  • salt

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 113 grams fresh breadcrumbs

  • oil for deep frying

  • 2 tablespoons gin
     

Method

 

1. Peel shrimps (prawns) leaving tail tips on.
2. Split shrimps (prawns) lengthwise, remove intestinal cord and flatten the cutlets slightly.
3. Sprinkle with salt.
4. Dip in egg and breadcrumbs, coating them thoroughly.
5. Bring oil to the boil with gin, and deep fry the shrimps (prawn) cutlets until light golden.
6. Drain and serve at once.
