Shrimps with Cucumber Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 smallish cucumbers

  • 450 grams fresh shrimps

  • 1 tablespoon corn flour (for dredging)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon sherry

  • 3 tablespoons oil

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon corn flour (for thickening)

  • 2 tablespoons cold water
     

Method

 

1. Peel the cucumbers and cut into quarters lengthwise, then into 2-inch chunks.
2. Shell and clean shrimps, dredge with a mixture of corn flour, salt, and sherry.
3. Heat pan, add 2 tablespoons oil, fry shrimps for 3 minutes. Drain.
4. Add remaining tablespoon oil to pan, reheat and fry cucumber for a few seconds.
5. Add soy sauce, sugar, and corn flour mixed with water.
6. Blend well, simmer for 1 minute, add prawns, heat thoroughly and serve.
