Fried Crab Recipe

Ingredients

  • 20-30 ground dried chilies

  • 4 tbsp coriander powder

  • 20 sliced shallots

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 2 sprigs curry leaves

  • 6 cloves crushed garlic

  • salt

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 7 tbsp oil

  • 1 metric cup thin coconut milk

  • 1/2 metric cup thick coconut milk

  • 2 kg crabs (cut in half. Lightly knock pincers to crack them)

 

Method

 

1. Heal oil, fry the shallots, mustard seeds and curry leaves.

2. Add the crab and salt.

3. Stir well pouring in the thin milk.

4. Stir in ground spices, turmeric powder and garlic. Allow crab to cook gently till dry.

5. Stir in the thick milk. As soon as it simmers, remove from heat.
