Fish Balls Recipe

cooking time: 5 minutes

 

Ingredients

  • 450 grams fish, boned and chopped

  • salt and pepper

  • 1 egg

  • 113 grams com flour

  • a little fish stock

  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

  • 1 dessertspoon oil

  • 4-5 spring onions

  • 2 cloves garlic
     

Method

 

1. Season the chopped fish with salt and pepper, add egg and corn flour.
2. Stir until the mixture is smooth and shape into small balls.
3. Use fish trimmings and bones to make a little stock.
4. Add to the stock, vinegar and a little oil.
5. Strain, reheat, and when it comes to the boil drop in the fish balls.
6. Simmer for 5 minutes.


Variation
Fish balls with sweet and sour sauce
Proceed as above, but instead of boiling the fish balls, deep fry them in oil until golden and serve with sweet and sour sauce.
