Crab Hong Kong Style Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 large, soft shell crabs (or canned crab)

  • 4 tablespoons oil for cooking

  • 1 small clove garlic, crushed

  • 113 grams fresh pork, minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 280 ml boiling water (or stock)

  • 1 teaspoon corn flour

  • 2 tablespoons cold water

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • 2-3 spring onions, chopped

 

Method

 

1. Clean and wash the crabs and cut into 6-8 pieces.
2. Heat the oil with the garlic, add pork, and salt, and brown lightly (2 minutes).
3. Pour in soy sauce, stir, add sugar, pepper, and stock.
4. Add crab pieces, mix well, cover, simmer for 7-8 minutes.
5. Mix corn flour with water, stir into the pan until the sauce is smooth.
6. Turn off heat. Stir egg into the mixture, sprinkle with spring onions and serve at once.
